Nebraska Parity Bill LB 969 Senate Hearing Feb 11 |

We‘re writing to update you on the status of the efforts related to the proposed prosthetic coverage bill we talked about earlier this summer and fall.
The Amputee Coalition of Nebraska (ACN) has started the process of asking the Nebraska Legislature to put a bill in place for prosthetic coverage. That bill is LB 969. We are preparing for the legislative hearing but there will be opposition there from the insurance companies. We’re asking for your help.
The Hearing is scheduled for February 11, 2008 in Room 1507 at the State Capitol at 1:30. That room is on the ground floor. We need as many people there as we can get. It would also be great if you could stop by your senator’s office either before or after the hearing to let your senator know you were there and ask them to support LB 969.
We need everyone’s support. Talk to your family and friends – would they be willing to contact senators? With everyone’s efforts, we will be successful in showing our state senators a law is necessary to continue the insurance coverage for prosthetic devices which are medically necessary.
